I'm a full-stack developer and designer based in Blantyre, Malawi, finishing a BSc in ICT at Malawi School of Government. Since 2024 I've worn a lot of hats: co founder and CTO at Cichlify, developer at Syszar building a royalty-tracking app for the Copyright Society of Malawi, a backend internship at SmartBit Consulting, and most recently ICT Officer at Montessori College of Education. On the side, I do freelance creative work :motion graphics, posters, logos, video editing.
I like owning a project start to finish from the first architecture sketch to deployment, to watching real people use it. My dissertation, EventChain, is proof: a Flutter ticketing app that pairs a blockchain with image steganography through C++ FFI. I'm also hooked on the startup world, where a rough idea becomes a product. Right now I'm getting comfortable with Go, sketching a general-purpose compression algorithm, and planning to pick up illustration next.
Build it, break it, fix it. Design and code are two halves of the same job. Write things down my whole workflow lives in Obsidian. Keep it simple until it can't be. Ship, then refine. Sweat the details nobody notices, because someone eventually does.
BSc, Information and Communication Technology, Malawi School of Government (2021 – 2026).
The bigger builds, with the story behind each one: EventChain, Autoresearcher, a royalty tracking app for COSOMA, a file portal for Montessori College. What I set out to build, what broke along the way, what shipped.
Notes to self that turned into posts things I learned the hard way building with Flutter, SvelteKit, Go, among other technologies.
Things I build because I want to: SvelteKit editors, small tools, the occasional motion piece.
Full-stack and mobile development roles, or product and UI design work.
